We are a mixed voice SATB chamber choir of about 30 voices based in Whitchurch in North Shropshire. The choir has a broad repertoire of sacred and secular music, giving concerts and recitals throughout Shropshire, North Wales, Cheshire, and Staffordshire. The choir is always on the lookout for keen singers who might wish to join us at our rehearsals in Whitchurch on a Monday night.

The Choir has a friendly ethos, believing that the best music making arises from the fun of the experience as well as from good technique. We aim to learn as we enjoy our music, whilst striving for a high standard of musical performance.

The Choir’s Music Director since 1996 is Prof. Simon Davies. Simon has been active in the Staffordshire music scene for many years. He is an ex-chorister of King's College, Cambridge, where he was conducted by Sir David Willcocks. He also studied composition at Canterbury School with Alan Ridout. Simon has sung with a variety of choirs including The Taverner Choir under Andrew Parrot, Leeds Parish Church Choir under Simon Lindley and the Allegri Singers. He continues to study singing and to perform locally.
